High Level or Low Level,
What is a Dashboard?
A Dashboard provides an opportunity to glance at KPIs (key performance indicators) for a particular business process. They allow for a clearly defined visual representation of these performance measures. Data that is displayed on the dashboard is updated constantly, allowing the ability for progress reports to be updated in real time.
Widgets are tools that allow a user to perform a function or access a service. Widgets on a dashboard can be customized to lead to a more detailed report within an application or be moved around in your user interface for easier access. Various charts, graphs, and calendars can also be displayed on your dashboard to provide trends and events in an easy-to-access interface. Dashboards can also be customized to display certain data for higher-level managers and different data for lower-level users.
Benefits of Dashboards
Dashboards afford you the ability to identify trends within your business and measure efficiencies or inefficiencies. They also can provide user alerts for which to take action within your application. Dashboards ultimately provide total visibility on all of your business processes which can help you make better decisions based on collected business intelligence.
How Has Targeted Implemented Dashboards?
One of our clients is a leading vendor of hearing aids around the US. Targeted was able to implement a dashboard that displays widgets for different KPIs such as total revenue, quantity of units sold, and net sales for all purchases. We have even created a widget for the closing ratio that displays a percentage based on how many purchases were made from appointments for each of the client’s locations. Most all of these widgets can be clicked onto for a more detailed breakdown of each report.
